I wish I could remember what intrigued me about playing hockey, as I could do little more than skate in a circle. I remember picking up a friend's son from hockey practice and a few women were talking about it and it sounded great. I decided to check it out. I came on Friday night by mistake with all the experienced players and was really intimidated. Little did I know that my skill level (or lack thereof) would have been fine for Saturday. I decided to step back and take a "Learn to Play Hockey" program from the Hockey Academy. I then went back to the Nor'Easters the next year.
I absolutely love it. It's fun, energetic, and a great workout. Learning to skate was half the battle. It's a great group of women and you truly do not need to worry at all about what level you are. Just come and join the fun!
